Overview

We look at the recent remarkable discovery of Thomas Cromwell’s Book of Hours by the Hever Castle curatorial team and the ongoing project to excavate the remains of a ‘lost’ Tudor garden at Sudeley Castle.

We speak to Heidi Meyer, Master of Lord Leycester Hospital, a charitable organisation founded in 1571 by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, about living in a community within a stunning complex of medieval buildings with direct connections to the Tudor age.

Sarah Morris, the Tudor Travel Guide has created an itinerary for a tour through Kent, a county with an abundance of Tudor places to visit. Brigitte Webster shares the joys of living at Old Hall during the summer months, and in Last Place, Professor Glenn Richardson tells us about his favourite Tudor places.

All this, plus news, book listings and more……..
